Our Biography

Raghul Spinning Mills, (RSM) is a partnership firm, incorporated in the year 1992 and the commercial production started from 29th July 1992 with the installed capacity of 338 roving spindles. RSM has made every cautious but steady growth during the past. RSM have increased their spindles from 338 roving spindles to 10752 spindles in a phased manner.

RSM was solely banking with BRCC BANK. RSM has been awarded "BEST BORROWER AWARD" by the above bank in the month of October 2005. Now availed a Term Loan and need based working capital from SYNDICATE BANK. RSM has been concentrating on the production of 1/40’s, 2/40’s, 1/60’s 2/60’s carded counts with Hank & Cone form. RSM has been able to penetrate even well-guarded market segments with better quality and consistent supply.

Sri P.Devaraj is the Managing Partner of the mill. His educational qualification is B.Com. He has got a working experience of more than 30 years in the field of Textiles. He looks after Production, Marketing and Administration including labor management.

Raw Materials

  • Basic raw material is cotton. Cotton is procured from up-country states.
  • Cotton is purchased from major up-country cotton centers like Gujarat, Karnataka, A.P., Maharastra through brokers and also directly from traders.
  • Cotton will be imported at times of need. RSM purchase cotton both on FOR terms and SPOT terms based on the market availability.
  • The promoters are in the cotton field for more than 2 decade and they have good experience in selection and sourcing of cotton.

Industry Scenario

  • India is synonymous with cotton. We were weaving cotton before the rest of the world was even growing it. Ethnic Indian motifs and designs, that are today the toast of Paris and Milan, date back to centuries of tradition. This rich & unrivalled heritage and craft foundation today co-exists harmoniously with the modern new India, giving Indian Textiles the dual advantage of tradition and technology. India has over 9 million hectares under cotton cultivation with annual crop of about 2720 million kgs.
  • Our cotton textile industry encompasses 1543 spinning units, more than 281 composite mills, and 1.72 million registered looms. Simply put, the textile industry is the backbone of India’s economy. Textile in India has been a pioneer industry for almost 150 years. This has created a formidable technological base fed by a vast reservoir of highly Competent, Skilled, Trained, Managerial and Technical personnel.

  • Indian textile industry occupies a position of prime national importance accounting for over one third of India’s total exports. A textile has the distinction of being the highest foreign exchange earner for the country.. India exported around 2 billion sq.mt of cotton fabrics valued at about US $ 1094 million in the year 2000. Cotton fabrics constitute about 32% of India’s export of total cotton textiles valued at US $ 3646 million. No wonder that Indian cotton fabrics find favor with designers and garment converters in 185 countries across five Continents
  • India exports a variety of knitted – Plain, Pique, Fleece, Terry, Interlock, Ribs, Blends etc., as grey and processed, in tubular and regular form, worth US $ 63 million (Total Quantity : 96 million sq. meters). India has increasing presence in the rapidly expanding world trade of technical textiles. India has emerged as a new found source for the supply of Interlining, Geo textiles, Non – woven and industrial fabrics with specific applications in spheres Filtration, Clothing, Protection and Packaging industries.
  • Today, India’s focus is on modernization. The Indian cotton textile industry too is in fast forward mode. Plenty of Rapiers, Air jet, Water jet, Automatic shuttle and Shuttle less looms of wide width have been installed. We also have sophisticated knitting machines & state-of-the-art processing machinery. This has enabled the industry to offer Grey, Bleached, Mercerized, Dyed, Yarn dyed and Printed fabrics.
  • When the bilateral agreements under Multi-Fiber Arrangement (MFA) is phased out within the period as per the Agreement of Textile & Clothing there will be no quotas and Indian Textile Industry will have to operate in a free market economy wherein the textile companies with good fundamental will be better placed to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the market.
  • The export market is expected to be a high growth area for cotton and synthetic fabrics. The demand for India’s fabric is expected to increase in the era of progressive dismantling of quotas in EU and USA.
  • The Government has removed excise duty on hank and cone yarn and also exempted the hand loom/power loom sector outside the purview of central excise duty. This has given the much needed boost and will improve the fortunes of the industry to a greater extent in the coming years. The concession in excise duty is yet to give its desired results due to cautious purchase by the weavers
